Prospects for developing Tunisia-EU relations were central to Foreign Affairs Minister Kamel Morjane's meeting, on Tuesday, with European Union (EU) Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Füle.

Mr. Kamel Morjane expressed, on the occasion, President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali's keenness to develop the long- standing friendship and co-operation relations binding Tunisia and EU, recalling that the set of agreements governing these relations aim to guarantee the two sides' stability, welfare and security.

He pointed out, in this regard, that 'Tunisia is ready to step into a new stage of its partnership process with EU, to make of its integration into the Euro-Mediterranean space and the European market a success.'"
